Summer class is almost over and nothing happened much this semester. This would prolly be my most boring summer. It's Wednesday which means free day! Gwen, Jek and I decided to go try foods at Maginhawa Street.
We rode a taxi from SM North. The driver go past Maharlika St. so it was a short ride with a fare of 80php. Our first stop was at Cool Beans Cafe. The place is cozy for studying or just chilling. They have free books that you can borrow while you are in the shop. Gwen ordered Oriental Pork Belly w/ Bokchoy and Cappuccino Frappe. Jek ordered Herb-Crusted Cream Dory. Since I am not hungry, I just ordered Cappuccino Frappe. I don't know if it's me or whatnot but I don't like the taste of their Cappuccino Frappe. Gwen doesn't like hers either. So, I tasted the Pork Belly. There is some minty, spicy taste in it that I don't know what that is and it tasted awful. Gwen literally threw up! Jek seem to enjoy his Dory. Our expectation fell down but we stayed their for a little longer to force ourselves that we were enjoying because it is a library cafe! This place is next to heaven. But, we can't take that place anymore so we moved to another shop.
Fruili Trattoria is our next stop. It is an Italian restaurant. Gwen doesn't want to eat anymore so Jek and I decided to try their pasta. I want pizza but I am still full. We ordered Spaghetti Meatsauce because I guess it was the safest food to order. We already had a trauma at Cool Beans. The Spaghetti smelled delicious but it was so sour. I put condiments to try to fix the taste or something but it didn't worked out. Maybe I can go here again and try their pizza. I hope it taste a lot better.
Bookay-ukay is still close so we went back to Cool Beans Cafe. We had no choice and no other place to read. Jek ordered Mushroom and Cheese Panini and Iced Benguet Roast. It tasted way lot better than what we ordered earlier. We stayed their for so long. I think we fell in love with the ambiance. Plus, the couch is so comfy!
It's 6:00 PM and Bookay-ukay is already open. They don't have a fix time in opening but they are always open at night time. It has a collection of different book genres. New and old books. I helped Jek find a book. He bought a book which costs 250php.
We were so exhausted and so hungry! Our last stop is at Snack Shack. This is usually my pasalubong from my sister every time she pass by this place. We ordered Quarter Pounder with extra cheese for only 85php each. It took 15 minutes to cook the burger patties. The wait was worth it. This is the three of us outside Snack Shack.
